Brownsfields Redevelopment

The Biomedical Research Foundation’s MISSION is to grow and diversify our regions economy.

InterTech Park supports the MISSION by growing the capabilities, quality, and quantity of highly technical facilities and programs it offers, in order to support and foster the creation, incubation, and attraction of businesses to the region.

The location chosen for the park is an inner city, prior industrial area, adjacent to some small residential neighborhoods. InterTech Park is actively changing this area from a worn and tired area to a refreshed, thriving nature based area supporting research and commerce. Over the past 20 years InterTech has applied for and received federal and local grants to assist with its cleanup of over 10 properties, which are now the core of InterTech Park.
